since 1946 with the same passion
Our history
At the end of the 1920s, Carlo Giamminola entered the textile world as a manager at a company specializing in the production of silk articles used for manufacturing military parachutes. That experience marked the beginning of a journey that would eventually lead to the creation of Industria Serica Giamminola, today a key player in the textile sector.
After World War II, in 1946, Carlo Giamminola, together with his brother-in-law, acquired Tessile Lombarda, a company based in Varese and specialized in the production of fabrics for accessories and linings. This step represented a crucial moment for the company’s future and marked the beginning of its growth.
In 1953, Carlo Giamminola became the sole owner of the company, officially giving life to Industria Serica, which proudly carries his name to this day. Through passion and dedication, Carlo succeeded in transforming the company into a point of reference for Italian textile manufacturers.
In the years that followed, his son Vittorio joined the company, bringing innovative ideas and a forward-looking vision. This new perspective encouraged the diversification of production: alongside accessories, Industria Serica began developing an apparel line, meeting the needs of an ever-evolving market.
Thanks to Vittorio Giamminola ’s entrepreneurial spirit and the family’s dedication, Industria Serica gained the trust of companies both nationally and internationally, progressively expanding into global markets. The company’s reputation for the quality of its fabrics and its ability to innovate have solidified its role as a leader in the industry.
Today, the company is successfully led by his daughter Federica, who continues to carry forward the tradition of excellence and innovation that has defined Industria Serica Giamminola since its origins. The company’s history stands as a testament to how passion, commitment, and vision can transform a family project into a successful international enterprise.
